Tim Andrews co-founded the company with Akashia Carswell in 2013. Now sole owner & Managing Director for Learn Train Recruit Ltd, Tim continues the good work they started.
Tim is an experienced Hospitality Recruiter with a proven track record of successfully working with small independently owned and large multinational brand names within the Hospitality & Catering industry.
Before working in recruitment and training, Tim cut his teeth in Hospitality, starting work as a cocktail bar man for the Beach Blanket Babylon Group, before subsequently working his way up to Manager for two busy cocktail bars in Soho. From here, he became Membership Chairman for Teatro & Stanza private members club and restaurant in London’s West End theatreland before working in hospitality recruitment.
Since setting up in 2013, LTR branched out into training and since that time we have put 1000s of people into work in the hospitality and catering sector, whether training them from entry level or helping them along the next step of their hospitality career.
To date LTR has a 100% pass rate on our hospitality and catering training courses - whether classroom or online and our no-show rate in our agency is 10x less than the average, proving our reliability as a hospitality recruiter business.
LTR is a member of UK Hospitality and the British Institute of Recruiters & an approved hospitality training centre for TQUK, CPD Accredited and CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health)
Tim is very passionate about the Hospitality industry and was a lead partner in ESFA and EU funded projects.
PanOut London (2016- ongoing) (https://panout.london/ ) co-ordinated hospitality employers with school children, teachers and parents across Wandsworth. The aim was to actively bridge the gap between those working within hospitality and young people of 15 year olds + to present the hospitality industry as a viable and exciting career. The project was so successful that it is now considered to be a benchmark for future ESFA funded career cluster projects. There were success stories from the project, with young people getting apprenticeships, work experience and jobs within hospitality. Tim, with the other partners, is currently looking for ways to build on that success.
CS.Tour: Cultural Awareness and Social Skills Key Competences in Tourism (2015-2018). (https://www.cstour.eu/en/) This Erasmus + EU funded project was a collaboration between 9 partners across 5 countries to develop a European wide qualification framework for the hospitality & tourism industry. The focus was on improving social competence and cultural awareness within the hospitality sector. This project was so successful that it was recently announced as a benchmark and best practice model for future Erasmus + projects.
On the back of these we are delighted to announce that we have won some further awards to build on our success. More details will be revealed shortly.
